This course focuses on sharpening general writing and research skills within the context of the production of research-based essays.  Attention is given to skill development in the areas of locating relevant materials in both print and electronic media, formatting papers according to the appropriate MLA guidelines, and constructing logical, evidence-based arguments.  The course culminates in a formal research project.
